Hey! I'm Andrew, the founder of reFORGD.

 

When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me chasing summits. I’m a PNW native with a passion for mountain climbing, backcountry skiing, and alpine lakes. More than anything, I desire to serve the Lord with my whole heart and enjoy life alongside my wife, Linda. For me, fitness isn't just about the gym - it’s about being ready for every adventure God puts in front of us.

As believers, we are called to honor God by caring for the very vessels He gave us to do His work. Yet, for many, health is one area where stewardship has fallen by the wayside.

I see parents who want to be active and present for their children, and leaders who are deeply influential in the Kingdom, yet find themselves sidelined by obesity, high blood pressure, and fatigue. These challenges aren't usually a lack of faith; they are often the result of years of "autopilot" - a lack of knowledge and intentionality regarding nutrition and movement.

My Mission is Simple: To bridge the gap between your desire to serve and your physical capacity to do so. We aren’t just losing weight; we are reclaiming our health so we can be the leaders, parents, and servants God called us to be.

My Story

There's nothing more frustrating than not being able to look and feel your best, no matter how hard you try.

I get it. As a kid, I was unhealthy and had a terrible relationship with food. I was destined for the typical sedentary American lifestyle, with high blood pressure and no energy for doing the things I loved.

I wanted to look and feel good. I knew I was created for more, but I didn't have the map to get there.

LOST IN THE NOISE

So, I started learning everything I could about nutrition and fitness. 

But here's the thing: there are countless perspectives on nutrition and an overwhelming number of workouts. About the time I would settle into one plan, I'd find another and start following that one instead.

I spent years - and thousands of dollars - trying every "proven" plan on the market. I did "all the right things," yet I remained overweight and exhausted. The hardest part? Seeing friends get results on the exact same programs that failed me. I started to wonder if reaching my goals was even possible for someone like me.

THE POWER OF A TAILORED PATH

I eventually realized the truth: your body is unique, so your blueprint must be, too. 

Once I stopped following generic templates and started listening to my body, everything changed. I transformed from an obese, low-energy kid into a fit endurance athlete. I learned the hard way that trying to figure it out alone is overwhelming - but partnering with a coach changes the game. Today, I use that experience to help you reach your full potential without the years of trial and error.
